Bully Prevention Program
FMS students, staff, and parents are challenged to make a concerted effort in eliminating bullying behaviors on our campus. As defined by HB 283, 'bullying is engaging in written or verbal expression or physical conduct that #1 has the effect of physically harming a student, damaging a student's property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of either; or #2 is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive enough that the action or threat creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for a school.'
Bully Buster Student Agreement
#1 We will not bully other students.
#2 We will help students who are bullied.
#3 We will include all students who are easily left out.
#4 When we know someone is being bullied, we will report it to an adult.
Consequences for Reported/Observed Bullying Behaviors
#1 Counselor will visit with student
#2 Student will meet with grade level team teachers
#3 Grade level team will contact student parent/guardian
#4 Student will receive office referral
